Ms. Svoboda Farewell
Hello Roncalli Families,
As many of you are already aware, next week will unfortunately be my last week at Roncalli Middle School. I have been given an opportunity to work in another district at the high school level - which is the level I have been hoping for. I have cherished the last 2.5 years at Roncalli more than anything and I am so thankful to have had this opportunity to begin my career as a school counselor with the best team of staff and group of students. I am sad to be leaving these amazing students and incredible staff that I have come to know as family, but I am hopeful for the future.
I am working to try to do whatever I can to make this transition as smooth as possible for students and staff. Thank you, all, for an amazing 2.5 years.
Sincerely,
Sam Svoboda
Winter Weather!!!
Just a reminder that with the cold temperatures here, we are encouraging all parents to make sure that your son or daughter is coming to school in appropriate clothes for the weather. This would include hats, gloves, and a winter jacket. We will be going outside for recess each day unless the wind chills prevent us from doing so.
Also, if your son or daughter would like to play in the snow they need boots and a change of shoes. Playing on the snowhills eventually will require snowpants along with boots and winter clothing!

Substitute teachers!!!
Do you possess a bachelor's degree?
Would you like to give back to the Roncalli Catholic School System?
If you answered "yes", then you may be qualified to support our school through substitute teaching. A teaching degree is not required, and lesson plans and support are always provided!
Again, in order to be a substitute you need to be VIRTUS trained, pass a background check, have a bachelor’s degree and would be willing to come and follow the teacher’s lesson plans; please contact Mr. Thiele if interested at steve.thiele@roncallicatholicschools.org.
Willy Wonka Jr. Tryouts
They will be asked to sing and move. If they would like a speaking part they will have the opportunity to read for parts as well. If you have any questions please let me know. If your son or daughter would like to do backstage please have them talk to Mr. Thiele individually. We look forward to the show at the end of February!!
