ELOG Plan

California schools received money from a one-time grant this year called the Expanded Learning Opportunities Grant. Parkview received $123,300.00. Click the link below to read Parkview's plan to spend these funds.

Dress Code reminder

We want to share some reminders about Parkview's Dress Code. Shoes must have closed toes AND closed heels, so slip-on shoes with a heel strap do not meet the dress code requirement. Pants with holes should not have holes above the knee. If they do, another item of clothing such as leggings or tights should be worn underneath. Clothing must cover the torso of the body, including the stomach and back. If shirts are too short to cover the stomach and back, a longer shirt should be worn underneath. Parents will be called to bring a change of clothes if clothing does not meet the dress code requirements. If parents are not able to come, loaner clothing will be provided if available. The School Site Council will be discussing the dress code this week and making revisions to ensure the dress code is written with equity in mind.

SSC is November 16th

Parkview's School Site Council and English Learner Advisory Committee meet on November 16th via zoom. Contact Mrs. Comstock at ccomstock@hueneme.org if you would like the zoom link to attend. Click the button below to see the agenda.

The Green Ribbon Schools Award Program

Parkview has submitted an application for the state and national Green Ribbon Schools Award program. Arturo Cortez, Nanette Melero, and Jon Mortensen worked together to write the 39-page application! Our staff and students have worked hard over the years to not only teach our students how to be stewards of the environment but to make efforts to help the environment in our practices at Parkview. We have worked to eliminate plastic packaging with sporks and to eliminate straws. Our students recycle paper and we have saved over 40,000 plastic bottles from going to the landfill with our water bottle refilling station. We will learn if we won in the Spring of 2022. Wish us luck!
