#1 Wicked Witch of The East
ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES ON THURSDAY AUGUST 22ND!!
https://www.bikereg.com/Net/wicked-witch-of-the-east-enduro
ONSITE REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE UNTIL FIELD IS FULL - EVENT IS LIMITED - REGISTER TODAY!
The Wicked Witch of the East Enduro is a modified enduro with two stages.
The first stage is a Lemans start hill climb that can be ridden timed or untimed. Untimed riders have an hour and half to ride to the start of the downhill. 5 miles, ~1300' of climbing for race division, ~1100' of climbing for untimed course. The course finishes with ~300' descent.
As far as we know, nobody has ever cleaned this climb in one shot. While much of the course features good climbing pitches, there are several sections that are quite steep and rocky. Technical challenges exist throughout the course, any little root has the potential to kick you off the bike.
The second stage is a reverse of the first timed course, with a time trial format and a 60 second gap between racers. The ~300' beginning ascent is followed by a generally rolling descent through very technical terrain, with a few crux sections, and finishing with a fast flowy non-technical downhill.
There will be equal prizes for women and men, with Queen and King of the Mountain combined time awards, and Flying Monkey awards for fastest climb and fastest descent. With the entire field limited to 50 racers, there are only two categories, male and female.
This event is fundraiser for the Mad River Riders. Help us build more trails!

#3 Race to The Top of Vermont
The North Face Race to the Top of Vermont has been called the hardest race ANYONE can do!
Now… this doesn’t mean you have to be genetically gifted or driven to train 7 days a week in order to attend. It means this course is going to challenge you, but if you are determined enough you will succeed and be inspired by your effort.
Every August the North Face Race To The Top Of Vermont does draw as many as 800 hikers, mountain bikers, and runners from across the U.S. and Canada to climb Mount Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak located in Stowe, Vermont. The course climbs up the historic Toll Road, is 4.3 miles in length and climbs 2564 ft. For some it’s all about trying to achieve the fastest time up this tough 4.3 mile course. For others… they come to challenge themselves against the mountain, and to enjoy the spectacular views. For the non-competitive people, the hike is a perfect way to enjoy this beautiful course, enjoy the company of friends, and be inspired by their effort. Either way, we promise that the Race to the Top of Vermont will be one of the most challenging and fulfilling days you experience all season long.
