Updates from the Principal

Dear Family and Community Members,

December is here!! It's hard to believe 2018 is just a few weeks away! We still have a lot of fun and rigorous learning happening every day here at Robertson! It's a busy week as we celebrate the Hour of Code-Computer Science Week. The Hour of Code is a global movement designed to demystify "code" and to show that anybody can learn the basics of computer science. Students at Robertson will participate in various coding activities throughout the week.

Computer Science Week- The Hour of Code

Every student should have the opportunity to learn computer science. It helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic, and creativity. By starting early, students will have a foundation for success in any 21st-century career path. Our entire school continues to participate in one of the largest learning events in history - The Hour of Code. During Computer Science Education Week, Dec. 4th-8th, the Hour of Code aims to demystify coding and show that anybody can learn the basics by just coding for one hour during this week.

Students will have an opportunity to learn or extend their knowledge of programming concepts next week. In addition to coding activities in the classroom, students will have the opportunity to learn more about computer science on the daily announcements.
