SUMMER READING
GRAPEVINE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LEARNING COMMONS
GCISD Summer Reading Assignment
Students who read over the summer are more successful during the school year. Students who have choice in what they read are more likely to read over the summer. Thus, it is only logical that if we want students to read more during the summer, we let them make reading choices!
In 2016-2017 GCISD Students in grades K-12 will be asked to complete the GCISD READS book challenge program. Reading completed between June 1st-May 1st WILL count towards their GCISD READS goal for the 16-17 school year.

Access to Public Libraries
We are blessed to live in an area with many public libraries... information is everywhere! If you haven't already, please consider getting a library card for your child. Many libraries in our area only require a Texas driver's license, and these cards will give you access to all of their databases, including ebooks!Grapevine Public Library
