Read to Self: 100 Book Challenge Goal: 132; Read 30 minutes every night at your fun, fast and easy level!

Word Work: Greek/Latin Roots: no root this week

Reading: begin unit on Space Exploration. Our culminating assessment will be an opinion writing on Are the benefits of space exploration worth the cost? If you have not returned the permission to share work form please do so (yellow paper). The Space Exploration unit is a district initiative to increase rigor in reading instruction

We will not need a reading book for this unit. Reading books will be collected and sent to the new building.

Work on Writing: Writing Focus: Continue paragraph formation (topic sentence, supporting details, conclusion) and begin opinion/persuasive writing to coincide with Space Unit

Grammar: Words in a title

Math and Science

Math Topic: Topic 5 division with 2 digit divisor

Science: Study of ecosystems - reduce, reuse, recycle

Social Studies

Early Indian Civilizations
