FHS Choirs with Avi Kaplan
Tthe FHS Choir was honored to be a part of an invitational clinic and concert with Avi Kaplan, the former bass from the renowned a cappella group Pentatonix. PTX is most known for their several platinum Christmas albums, including their hit arrangement of “Mary, Did You Know“, world tours and Christmas specials, all after being crowned champions of NBC’s The Sing Off.
The students spent several hours of rehearsal preparing six Pentatonix songs and two originals written by Avi himself. They also participated in a question and answer session where they got to ask him all about his career, experiences, and advice. The concert was magnificent, and the day ended with a special meet and greet where all our students got to give Avi a hug and thank him for working with us. It was a weekend we will never forget!
