Celebrate Laudato Si' Week (16th - 24th May)
Laudato Si' Week is a weeklong event marking the seventh anniversary of Pope Francis' landmark encyclical on creation care. It is a time to listen and respond together to the cry of creation, rejoice in the progress we have made in bringing Laudato Si' to life, and intensify our efforts through the "Laudato Si' Action Platform", walking the "Synodal" path.

Mountain Trail Bike Club
St Benedict's is very proud to announce the college's first "Mountain Trail Bike Club". With the exponential growth of this sport over the last few years the college has agreed that it is time to get on board. Students who are keen riders and are interested in participating in various riding events throughout the year are encouraged to see Mr O'Donnell for some information. The club will have a focus on involvement in group social rides, skills development and also registering for various race events including the Interschools Downhill Race event in Thredbo 2023. We already have a number of students who have expressed interest and we welcome all students from years 7-12.
Safety in this sport is our absolute first priority so students will need to have a bike in sound mechanical condition (preferably a dual suspension bike) and safety apparel, including helmet, gloves and knee pads. We look forward to a great year of riding together.

P&F Expressions of interest.
It is a worthwhile and positive experience to be involved with the SBCC P&F, working closely with the College Principal and Leadership team to enrich the learning opportunities of our students.

Expressions of interest are currently sought for the SBCC P&F Executive Team. If you would like to make a contribution to our college as a P&F Committee member please email your details to: pandf@sbccdow.catholic.edu.au.
