Congratulations Battle of the Books Champs!

On Friday, January 23rd, our Wolverine Battle of the Books team participated in PSJA's 2nd Annual Battle of the Books. The tournament was held at Southwest ECHS. After being eliminated in the first round, our team was the wildcard and after three more matches, came out victorious and reclaimed their championship title! We are Back to Back Champs!

The students each received a Kindle Fire HD 7 and a plaque. All tournament participants were treated to lunch and a fun time at Main Event.

The Wolverine Library is very proud of our team for they put in many hours after school and during their lunch periods to prepare for the battle! Job well done!

Now, will we have a 3peat next year? We'll certainly try!

Team members include (clockwise): Jose Hinojosa, Alexis Salas, Erin Reyes & Valeria Garcia

GROWL Book Club Meets for Book Discussion

Thank You Alamo Rose!

On Thursday, February 5th, our wonderful neighbors, Alamo Rose Mobile Home and RV Park, once again hosted a Spaghetti Supper to raise funds for the Wolverine Library! GROWL Club members volunteered to help serve the food and enjoyed an evening of getting to know our Winter Texan friends. A big thank you goes out to Mr. Stanley Sherman, Chairperson, and his Committee. We know that much time and effort goes into organizing an event such as this. We truly appreciate what you do for our kids! The funds that are donated are used to purchase books for the library. Alamo Rose has been doing this event for 17 years!

Thank you Mr. Trevino for helping us out by having the Mariachis perform!
