Parents and Community Members- Welcome to Smore! Smore is the new platform we will be using for our Viking Newsletter. We saw a neighboring school's newsletter and thought it looked great so we did some research and have decided to use the same website to create our newsletters. Please let us know what you think!
We had our first budget meeting of the season on November 24th and we have our next meeting this coming Monday, December 8th. As always, your attendance is encourage and appreciated. We will be presenting our decision packets for the 2015-16 budget cycle and this would be a great opportunity for you to hear first hand what we are proposing. Following this meeting, our next meeting won't be until January 14th when the board will approve the budget that will go forward to the voters.
Now that we've experienced the frigid air and have some snow on the ground, we thought this would be a good time to revisit our winter clothing expectations:

Now that we've experienced the frigid air and have some snow on the ground, we thought this would be a good time to revisit our winter clothing expectations:
- Kindergarten-2nd Graders: Hats, Mittens, Snow Pants, Coats, and Boots required when below 32 degrees.
- 3rd-5th Graders: Coats required when below 32 degrees. If any student would like to play in the snow, snow pants and boots are required. Hats and mittens are encouraged, but not mandatory.
- 6th-8th Graders: Our expressive middle schoolers are always encouraged to dress appropriately, but we simply remind them of what we believe is necessary and let them decide for themselves.
- ***If a student happens to forget any necessary article of clothing necessary, we have extras that can be borrowed.
Congratulations to our 4th grade students who did a wonderful performance about their learning on Ancient Greece. These young actors showed us their new learning through the presentation of several plays and songs about this time period. This was a great culminating project for this integrated and collaborative learning unit. The singing, acting and dancing was fun and informative!
