October 2022
Hello Hurricane Family,
I hope that the start of the school year has been a great one for everyone. Things here at Klein Cain have been busy to say the least. We have had our students involved in so many things since we have returned from Summer Break and they are representing us so well! It is so refreshing to see our CAT 5 Core Values of Collaboration, Risk-Taking, Integrity, Passion and Problem-Solving come to life in the classrooms, on stage, in the pool, on the court, on the field and in various competitions.
The successes we have had are solely due to the amazing leadership, dedication and passion exhibited by our students. They have not let the fact that we are still considered by many to be a “new school” stop them at all! In fact, they are using that "underdog" title that has been placed upon us as a catalyst for amazing outcomes. As a parent myself, I can honestly say that when my son enters high school, if he acts, serves others, competes and carries himself with half the amount of integrity, character, passion, respect, self-confidence and dedication that our current Hurricanes possess, I will be one proud mom! Thank you for allowing your students to share their talents with us, and for allowing them to serve as some amazing role models for the future Hurricanes to come.
The second half of our Fall Semester is always hectic and busy! Make sure that you stay up to date with all we have going on this semester. There is always something to do and always a chance for you to support the Klein Cain Hurricanes!
Reign Cain,
Nicole Patin

Klein CainTennis!
Our Varsity Cain Tennis team just finished an impressive season of district play. After losing our first match of the year against a really good Tomball Memorial program, our team bounced back to go undefeated the rest of the season, capped off by a 12-7 win over a tough Tomball High team despite injuries to a couple of key players. We clinched the title of District Runner-Up for the Fall Team Tennis season and now move into the postseason. We face Cy-Woods next Monday at Klein Cain in the Bi-District round of the postseason as we look to kickoff a deep playoff run!

2022-2023 Innovation Challenge-Team Registration is Now Open!
Day of Design Challenges encourage students to create like an innovator by employing creative problem-solving skills and entrepreneurial mindset while innovating a solution to the problem. Teams spend ONE DAY creating their solutions.
In Erase the E-Waste Innovation Challenge, Klein ISD students develop a solution to the ERASE the E-WASTE. Student Teams will create a storyboard for the Day of Design. Student teams will have 10 minutes to pitch their storyboard to an expert advisor and will receive feedback. The focus is on the ideas and approaches, not the products.
