God Makes My Life Good
Lately, we've heard lots of stories about families at our church going through hard situations such as divorce, moving, military deployment, job loss, cancer diagnoses, and car wrecks. It's easy for us to question how good our God is when these types of situations happen to us and our family. This week let's remember and trust that God does and can make our life good, just like our Elementary Need to Know says. The scripture references for the week come from Numbers 13 and 14. Read through them when you get a chance to see how Caleb and Joshua decided to trust in God's good promises rather than retreat in fear as obstacles came their way. You might be in one of those hard situations right now and as you read those scriptures and head into the weekend, let the character of God be your strength and your hope.
"Now may the Lord's strength be displayed, just as you have declared; The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished." Numbers 14:17-18
Our God is loving, patient, gracious, and just and He does have a great plan for our life, no matter what the world might throw in our path.
