CKE Monday Notes
"If It's to Be, It's Up to Me!"
New Door Locks & Badge Readers
Tomorrow (3/7), Jason Flood from the Tech. Dept., is supposed to come around and activate badges on the 2-3 hall and 4-6 hall. Your badge will give you access to enter your hallway. In addition to letting you in, your entry will serve as your arrival time at school. Ed has installed a new program on my computer on which I can generate a report of when you have entered the building. However, for now, please continue to sign-in in the front office. Your new key will only fit your door and the storage closet in your classroom. It may possibly work on the outside door of your hallway but at this point I can't recall if the new lock was keyed for access. However, your badge will primarily be your access to the building.
Spring Picture Day Tomorrow!
Class portraits will be taken in the media center tomorrow and individual pictures in either the paw hall or the side hall going toward the K&1 hall. Smile big for the camera!
Animaland Fundraiser
Coming up on Friday (3/10) students will be able to visit the media center and stuff their own animal. Students always look forward to this event and getting to create their own animal. This is a great fundraiser for our PTO!
Read-A-Thon Fundraiser
Teachers please be sure and send home any information that is brought to you for your students. This fundraiser encourages students to read and obtain pledge money for reading. It is super easy and a great way to encourage our students to read! Please encourage your students to be participating!
Archery Informational Meeting
Coming up on Thursday (3/9) afternoon at 3:30 in the cafeteria, we will have a representative from the NASP organization at school to meet with parents and students interested in starting an archery program at Coker. We are excited to host this meeting and find out more about the possibility of beginning an archery program.
