Principal's Post

Next week is the final week before we welcome all of our students for the 2021-2022 school year. This is a very exciting time! For our youngest students, we will have a welcome opportunity prior to the first day of school. Kindergarten and First Grade orientations will take place on Thursday, August 26th. Please visit our school website for specific times.

The first day of school is always an exciting day full of many emotions - for students and for families. Some of those emotions include excitement, anticipation, nervousness, and even sadness - as summer vacation comes to a close. This mix of emotions is natural.

On the first day of school, we will have school staff and volunteers from our Teacher/Parent Organization greeting students and helping everyone to feel welcome and ready for a great first day! If you walk their children to school or drive them, I ask that you say goodbye to your child(ren) outside of the school building and allow them to enter the school with their peers. This helps to support a positive transition to the school day and to foster strong student-to-school relationships. Inside, we have ample school staff greeting the students and helping all of the students walk to their classrooms to start the day.

We are all looking forward to a great start to the school year!

Best,

-Adam
