The Mustang Minute

November 16, 2018 - Issue 11

Giving Thanks

We have had a great week of parent conferences, canned food drives, and creative projects. As we head into Thanksgiving week I thought I would take a moment to share my thanks with the CMS community.

  • First and foremost, thank you for trusting us with your children each day. It is an honor and a privilege to help these young people grow and develop into high school ready students and move them towards adulthood.
  • Thanks for coming in through snow, sleet, rain (and whatever else New England and mother nature wanted to throw at us) to meet with the teachers. Those short conversations always give us a new insight into your child.
  • Thanks to my staff for providing so many exciting opportunities for our students. This week alone I've seen Flipgrid videos in Spanish and French, PSAs on vaping, multi-sensory presentations, badminton games for 46 students at once, and Socratic seminars. There is great work happening here everyday.
  • And thanks again to the ever-generous Norwood community for helping us to collect 27 boxes of food for the Food Pantry and for providing meals for over 20 of our families at CMS.

As I will not be doing a Mustang Minute next week I want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy the time at home and with family!

Thanksgiving Help

The Norwood community is incredibly generous and we are able to offer meals to any of our families in need. If you need help this Thanksgiving please reach out to the main office or to your student's guidance counselor and we will make sure that you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving meal this November.
