Thursday is Valentines Day!
We will have a small Valentines snack and exchange Valentines on Thursday afternoon. I will be sending out a Sign-Up Genius for parents to sign up to send in cupcakes, cookies, and juice. We might also do a small Valentine activity. Some students have expressed interest in decorating a Valentines box at home to bring to school on Thursday to collect their Valentines. This is optional. I will also have large Valentine bags for students to use. Here is a list of students in our classroom.

Teacher Appreciation Week
Thank you so much to all of my students and parents for spoiling me during Teacher Appreciation Week. I loved all of my Teacher MVP sheets, and the collection of books you all donated to the class was AMAZING! PTO does a great job each year of pampering the staff. It was a lovely week, and I was truly touched by your generosity:)

Spelling Homework
You may have noticed that our spelling homework looks a little different. Students have a new "Spelling Choice Board" in their homework binder to use each week. I thought it might be fun to change up students' homework assignments to give them more creative options for working with their spelling words. Our classroom assignments have also changed a bit, and I am adding more grammar to our word work lessons. Students will now have 4 spelling assignments to turn in each week along with 2 math sheets. Please make sure to check that your child has completed all of their assignments and they are in their backpacks to turn in on Friday.
