Cooper Landing School Updates
Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!
Part-Time Custodian Needed - Cooper Landing School is in need of a part-time (4-hours per day) custodian beginning February 11. Please log into the KPBSD website if you are interested and look for Job ID #8523. You can also contact Tommy Gossard at 907-595-1244 or stop by the school.
Early Release Dates - Friday, February 25. School will end 90 minutes early (1:45).
Parent-Teacher Conferences - PT Conferences will be held this Thursday & Friday, February 17-18. Mr. Gossard will be in touch to schedule. There is no school on these days.
Skiing - Our third ski date is tomorrow. Check your email for the day's schedule.
K'Nex - Grades 1-3 are learning about simple machines using K'Nex Building Kits. This activity is aligned to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) concepts and national standards. It allows students to build replicas of real-world machines and contraptions such as catapults, levers, and pulleys, and through experimentation, students gain a concrete understanding of the principles that make them work.

Tuesday 2-15 - Ski Day: Bus leaving the school around 11:00am returning around 5:30pm
Wednesday 2-16 - KPBSD Community Budget Forum *Zoom Option 6:00pm. Zoom link at go.kpbsd.org/finance
Thursday and Friday 2-17 & 2-18 - Student led Parent Teacher Conferences: There is no school for students on these days. Please call the school to schedule your conference.
Tuesday 2-22 - Ski Day: Bus leaving the school around 11:00am returning around 5:30pm
Thursday 2-24 - KPBSD Budget Forum Seward High Library 6:00pm
Friday 2-25 - Early Release Day: Students released at 1:45pm
Hope School Happenings

READATHON: Hope Huskies Readathon February 1st through February 28th. The Students are so excited about this. WOW! If they read a collective 10,000 pages, PIZZA PARTY!!!! Please encourage and support a local Hope Student. Reading is an essential in education.
Skiing - Dates for skiing are confirmed! February 15, 22 and March 1, 15. Although Alyeska may not require masks to be worn outside, please make sure you have a mask on hand, should you decide to enter buildings or areas which may require them.
