Davis Students & Families,

We are excited to return for our sixth school year. Meeting the incoming freshmen has been wonderful. As a whole, the group is excited to be at our school, and has been on point in their classes. The seniors welcomed them into school this week by joining them during Crew activities. There is solid camaraderie among the 10th and 11th grade classes as well, which is noticeable during their joined lunch. Overall, the school community had a positive tone during our first week back, which is a great way to start the year!

We are excited to introduce a few new programs this year. First, our after school boatbuilding club is now an every day class! Many of our students worked over the summer in jobs facilitated by Argonaut, and we intend to continue to provide even more paid opportunities to students throughout the year. Stay tuned for more information about our after school clubs this year. Our goal is to increase even more the number of participants. All students are encouraged to join an after school program to explore our school theme even deeper.

This past week we sent various forms home with your students. Please make sure all forms are completed and returned to Davis by this Friday, August 12th. Students should return completed forms to their Crew Advisor.

You should have received (unless you previously submitted them):

- Emergency Card (on colored paper)

- Media Release

- For freshmen only: Thick packet of Argonaut / Spirit of America waivers

The market is open to all Davis A&M students, families, and community. Students can access the market after dismissal to bring items home. Families and community members can walk or drive up to pick up items. Please bring a bag or box to carry away your items. Please spread the word.
