Place Vendôme Morning Tour

The massive column in the center of this square was built to honor one of Napoleon's victories. It is made from over 100 cannon plates. Napoleon stands at the top holding a sword and a globe. During the 1871, the column was taken down but was rebuilt later.

Many famous people lived on this square including Chopin.

The Louvre Afternoon Tour

Enjoy lunch at one of the 15 resturants at the Louvre. If the weather is nice, you can sit outside and enjoy the gardents. Check online for room closures as you plan your tour. Here are several things you will not want to miss:

Head back to the hotel via the metro and get ready for dinner.

Chartres Cathedral

Today you will depart (via taxi) to the train station for the hour trip to Chartres. You will need to leave early so you can view the famous Rose window during the day. This cathedral is built in the French Gothic style and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. After visiting the cathedral, walk through the town and purchase bread and cheese for a meal on the train ride back to Paris.
