Meet the owner
My name is Amy Butera. I currently live in Placerville, California, with my husband Vince, 6- year old son Austin, four-year old son Travis, and our two lovable black labs. Growing up in Cameron Park on five acres I enjoyed playing outdoors with friends and family, exploring for hidden treasures, even building tree houses and forts with my brother and cousins. Vacations were frequently spent hiking, camping, and fishing, usually at Caples or Bear River Lake where I’ve been known to catch, and lose, champion trout. I also played on a traveling soccer team and was team captain at Oak Ridge High School.
I attended San Diego State University and San Jose State University, and earned an Associates Degree in Liberal Studies and a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in teaching. While attending college I worked at a preschool center on the Google campus, taught chess to elementary school aged students, and worked as a counselor at a summer camp. Following graduation from college I was offered a position in field of event planning, a position I found to be challenging, motivating, and full of surprises. My husband and I soon started our family in 2005 and I was fortunate to stay home and care for both of my sons for four years. I then accepted a teaching position at an El Dorado Hills preschool, and then an offer from the El Dorado County Office of Education to be a teacher for a kindergarten extended daycare program. I currently work for an amazing executive as her administrative & personal assistant.
