Principal's Greeting
What a year Carver Middle School!
It has been an absolute pleasure to serve as your Principal this year. It's tough to believe that our school year is coming to a close this week. We have experienced tremendous success and positive momentum to build upon for next school year. I am proud to be a part of the Carver family and appreciate our community, students and parents embracing me as such. I'm looking forward to partnering with you next school year and welcome any feedback that you would like to share to support our continued improvement.
Special thanks to the Callaway family for hosting the Principal's chat last Thursday. It was great to meet that parents of current and future Cougars. Thanks to those who were able to make it out! I look forward to meeting many more parents and discussing the topics which impact our students.
My newsletters will be distributed on a bi-weekly basis throughout the summer. Please be on the lookout for them as important updates and schedules will be provided. Remember to encourage your Cougar to finish the school year strong to continue to read over the summer break.
Thank you very much and have a great summer Carver family!

Medication pick-up. Message from Nurse Wilhite
As school closes for the year, we wanted to share an important message regarding medication pick up at the school.
All medications provided to the school clinic for your child must be picked up by the student’s parent/guardian. Medications must be available for your student’s use through the last day of school, which is June 14. On June 17 and 18, all remaining student medications, including over-the-counter medications, must be picked up at the school between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. To pick up your student’s medications, come to the school office and ask a staff member for assistance.
At 4 p.m. June 18, all leftover medications will be packed and turned over to the Chesterfield County Police Department for proper disposal. Once medications are packed for police collection, they cannot be retrieved so it is important you pick up medications on time. There can be no late pickups permitted, and no medications can be stored at the school during the summer.
Medications must be picked up even if your student will attend summer school. Parents of summer school students will need to provide medication for your student to the summer school coordinator at the site your child will be attending at the beginning of the summer session. Please request a copy of the medication order for all medications to be administered during summer school when you pick up the medication from the school.
