Lunar New Year~ The Year of the Tiger, February 1st, 2022
Many Asian cultures celebrate the Lunar New Year! Celebrations are festive and tend to last from several days to a couple of weeks, with a theme associated with each day of the celebration. In Chinese traditions, this typically lasts 15 days culminating in the Lantern culminate with the Lantern Festival on February 15th, 2021. Other cultures celebrate over shorter time frames, such as 3 days in Vietnamese cultures.
What is the Chinese New Year 2022 animal?
This will be the Year of the Tiger, according to the Chinese zodiac, with the year lasting from 1 February 2022 until 21 January 2023.
People born in a year of the Tiger are predicted to be brave, competitive, unpredictable, confident and display great levels of willpower. Tigers’ positive qualities include being kind, adventurous and enthusiastic.
The tiger is known to be king of all beasts in China and comes third in the Chinese zodiac.

Let‘s Party!
Every year, Valhalla parents come together to host parties as part of the offering at the Auction. Parties are fun, build community, and more importantly, they play a big role in supporting our school. In past years, parties organized and hosted by parents like you accounted for nearly 30% of Silent Auction proceeds, all of which directly benefit the school. Reach out to Laurie Berry (LaurieBerry@sbcglobal.net) to get started. Don’t have an idea but want to help out? Join a party already in progress and contribute to the success of that event.
We Need Donations!
Auction: Do you know someone who owns a business (house cleaning, salon, photography, estate planning, etc.), has season tickets to a local team, or has a vacation home?
