Temperatures are dropping! Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for outside weather. Unless the weather is extreme, children will have recess outside.
Inclement Weather
In case of inclement weather, the district will notify parents through our automated School Messenger (phone) system. Information will also be posted on our District website. It is also important that an early dismissal plan is in place with your family in the event that students are dismissed early from school due to inclement weather. Thank you.

District Art Show T-Shirt:
Orders are now being taken to purchase this year's t-shirt for the Council Rock Art Show. All proceeds from the sales of t-shirts will benefit the Catharine T. Maynard Visual Arts Scholarship! Orders are due to Mrs. Aubuchon by Thursday, March 2nd. Forms can be found HERE.
Clothing Needed
Our school nurse is hoping that parents would be able to make donations of new girls/boys underwear and gently used girls/boys elastic banded pants. Sometimes, these items are needed at school, and having these items available is another way that we can take care of children. Thank you.
Diversity and Inclusion Committee
Holland Elementary School believes in the importance of teaching children about the richness of different cultures and groups. A new committee is forming, The Diversity and Inclusion Committee, in order to celebrate the students differences and prepare them for the diversity of the world. The Diversity and Inclusion Committee is seeking volunteers to join the committee. The committee seeks to recognize and draw on the talents of our parents, students, teachers, and community. If you are interested in joining or learning more about the committee, please email Lori Perusich at loriperusich@gmail.com.

PINK OUT Activity
The week of February 22nd-24th will be a week that Holland Elementary takes the time to acknowledge breast cancer awareness. Four sixth grade girls came up with an exceptional idea. Their goal is to support the millions of lives that are affected by breast cancer. To achieve their goal, they would like to raise money for the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation. It supports a rare type of breast cancer that touches people they know and love.
The following items are ways that these girls are going to raise money. During lunch periods, students will have an opportunity to purchase lemonade on Wednesday (2/22) for $.50 per cup. On Thursday (2/23) and Friday (2/24), students can purchase wristbands for $1 and raffle tickets for $.50 during their lunch periods. The winner of the raffle will win lunch with the staff member of his/her choice.
To bring awareness throughout the community, Holland Elementary will be wearing pink on Friday, February 24th. This ritual has been occurring in our district for many years. In fact, it has even been done at our school and it was a success! If your child does not own any pink clothes, he or she may wear red or white. There is no limit!
Thank you for your time and consideration! We hope you spread awareness with them!
