Tabar Talks
Hopefully everyone is able to stay healthy with all of the crazy up and down weather. We at Corpus Christi Academy are trying to stay super healthy as well as we enter our busiest week of the year approaching, Catholic Schools’ Week. Please reference the included schedule for Catholic Schools Week to receive explanations, invitations, and events so you can plan ahead. We also want to reach out to our school and parish communities to visit us, join us, and aid us during this very busy week.
We invite you to visit our School Open House on Sunday January 26th from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. We would appreciate you to aid us as judges for our Science Fair on the night of Monday January 27. Anyone interested in being a Science Fair judge can contact our Science teacher, Mrs. Greathouse, lgreathouse@corpuschristiacad.org. More information is listed below.
Lastly, we invite you to join us for a “Supper Bowl” of Pasta as our 8th Grade students raise money for their upcoming Washington, D.C. field trip. The Pasta Dinner is Sunday February 2, from 1:00-5:00 pm. Please consider enjoying some amazing food for dine-in or carryout. Your patronage is truly appreciated.
All of these amazing opportunities to collaborate and engage the parish communities continue to allow us to create and foster positive experiences that permeate “The Academy” and guide us as a Beacon of Christ Inspired Excellence in Mind, Body, and Spirit. Similarly, experiences like our Junior Model United Nations program and “One School, One Book” challenge our students to step out of their comfort zone, face new situations, and realize true growth personally and academically. It is because of your continued support that Corpus Christi Academy is able to foster and develop respectful, responsible, and resourceful leaders in our world today.
Science Fair Information
Corpus Christi Academy is looking for judges for our 7th and 8th Grade Science Fair! We cannot have a successful Science Fair without judges, and it would mean so much to our students if you would be able to assist. They have spent months preparing for this event and are very excited to share their projects. The winning projects, as chosen by the judges, will be representing CCA at the Northeastern Ohio Science and Engineering Fair at Cleveland State University.
If interested, the date of the science fair will be Monday, January 27, 2020 at 6:00pm. It will be held at the Corpus Christi Academy main campus. Dinner will be provided for all judges! Please contact Mrs. Greathouse if you are available to help, lgreathouse@corpuschristiacad.org.

Final Weeks: Shoe Collection Drive
The American Heritage Girls are in the final weeks for their Bi-Annual Shoe Drive. We are still short of our goal of 2,500 pairs of shoes. If you haven't clean out your closets yet, there is still time. We are looking for gently used shoes - any type (boots, sandals, kids or adults). The shoes will be distributed to those less fortunate in third world countries. They will use the shoes to create micro-enterprises. Thus extending the life cycle of unused shoes in your closet to help someone else earn a living. What a wonderful way to start the New Year by helping others.
The Donation Box is in the Back of the Church and by the Saint Clare statue. Any questions, please call Christy Raynor at (440) 684-0549. Thank you and God Bless!
