Sunset's Weekly House Keeping Notes
August 20-24
Ohhhhhhh, I just can't wait....
I get to embark on this journey with the MOST amazing people EVER - You! My heart races as I think of all I need to do, my stomach is full of butterflies as I prepare our opening day, my mind is overflowing with possibilities....being your Principal is an honor, a passion of mine, and quite frankly my absolute joy! I want you to remember that I believe in serving my staff, helping them grow, leading them through the tough times, and working alongside you as we prepare each and every day for our most precious gems - our friends (students)! Please know that, no matter how busy life gets, my door is always open and I look forward to serving you as the Building Principal!

A note regarding class lists....
Also, just to keep you in the loop - please be aware that there were many student's School of Choice requests that were denied. This was done completely due to numbers stated in Policy! If you have any questions regarding this, please let me know! Remember, to not engage in possible negative comments outside of school.
The Power of an Instructional Coach...
Coaching is not:
Coaching Is:
A Partnership
Strictly focused on student learning

Outcomes driven and standards based
Driven by your goals as a teacher
Flexible
Coaching Is NOT:

A waste of time
Driven by administration
Fixed
About fixing teachers
We must work as a team - working alongside our Instructional Coach is not just for our new teachers. Shawn is available to work alongside each of us during various times of the year. Time is valuable - I encourage each of you to engage in a coaching experience with Shawn - our students only get one chance at this school - therefore, every day counts, every minute counts...
