Hello Kuna School District Staff:
As you know, many of our classified team received notice this past week they were being furloughed until normal operations resume. Please know you are missed, and we look forward to working with you again in the near future. Keep this email as a source of information and call the Human Resources / Payroll Office with any questions.
In the HR Corner this month you will find valuable information about your pay, COVID-19 emergency sick and ways to stay healthy. Please use all of these helps for the good of you and your family.

Emergency Paid Sick Leave & FMLA Emergency Leave FAQs
Question #1: I heard that we are getting 80 hours of Emergency Paid Sick Leave. When will I be able to use it?
If you have worked for us for at least 30 days and are unable to work at on site or telework, you will able to use the emergency paid sick leave if:
1. you have had symptoms of COVID-19 and are seeking medical attention.
2. you have been advised by a health care provider to quarantine.
3. you are caring for an individual as described above.
You may also be elgible for Emegency Expanded FMLA if: 1. You are caring for a child whose school or daycare has been closed because of COVID - 19. This leave gives you 10 days of paid leave plus, up to 10 additional weeks at 2/3 of your pay.
Question #2: How do I know if I’m eligible?
All people who are experiencing symptoms or may qualify above should contact Human Resources immediately. Please email "hr@kunaschools.org"
Question #3: Would I have to produce a doctor’s note?
Yes, we require that you show evidence that you sought medical attention and have been recommended to quarantine.
Question #4: What about part-time employees?
You retain the same rights as above. Leave will be recorded in hours.
Question #5: If I am home with my child because his or her school or place of care is closed, or a child care provider is unavailable, do I get paid sick leave, expanded family and medical leave, or both—how do they interact

Question #6: May I take my paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave intermittently while teleworking?
You may not use emergency sick leave intermittently if you are working at your usual work site.
If you are teleworking, you may arrange with HR to use it intermittently.
In all situations, contact Human Resources immediately to work out a plan.

Payroll Reminders
- Classified employees, who have returned to work, will need to submit timecards per normal operating procedure. Any staff member that is taking time off for sick or personal reasons needs to record that on their time card.
- Furloughed employees received payment of wages earned for the 19-20 school year today. If you have any questions, please contact Tammy Merithew at tmerithew@kunaschools.org or 208-922-1000. You can access your pay statements on Skyward using your school district login credentials, also you will be receiving a hard copy of your pay statement in the US mail in the next few days. If you have employee paid benefits coverage, with your pay statement, you will be receiving a letter with options to maintain that coverage, if you have questions about benefits please contact Deann Greany, dmgreany@kunaschools.org.
Telemedicine Benefit
Just a reminder that the District is now offering a telemedicine benefit for employees and their families. This is at no cost to you.

Saint Alphonsus Virtual EAP Counseling Now Available
We understand that this time of uncertainty can be stressful and want to remind you that the Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) is there for you. They offer teleconferencing and are easy to work with for you and your household. See the attached flyer for contact information.
Also, the health benefits fair on April 8 has been canceled. If you have any questions regarding your benefits, coverage offered, or how to find providers, please contact The Murray Group at 208-765-2620.
