Harriet Tubman was a brave woman.
Evidence
The Author states in Paragraph 4, line 3, "Tubman resolved to return to the South, using the Underground Railroad to bring slaves north." This showed how brave she was because to flee and get away safely and return to help requires a special kind of bravery.
The Author also states in paragraph 6, line 1, "Tubman risked her own freedom, and possibly her life, to help other slaves," This proves that she was willing to put her own life in danger to give freedom to others.
Facts:
1) By 1856, the reward for Tubman's capture was $40,000.
2)Harriet escaped the south in 1849
3)She rescued about 300 slaves in her lifetime
4)Tubman continued to strive for civil rights even after slavery was outlawed
5)Tubman risked her own freedom, and possibly her life, to help other slaves.
