End Of Course Test
The English End of course test will be next Monday and Tuesday. These are computer based multiple choice tests. The English test will consist of 2 45-minute tests. We will do one one Monday and the other on Tuesday. This is a state given test that aligns with the ACT. Please encourage your child to get a good night's sleep and eat a good breakfast before coming to school. We need them focused and ready to perform at their best! This is NOT the same as their final exam. There is no study material for this assessment. They just need to show us what they can do!
Romeo and Juliet
We have started Romeo and Juliet. This is a five act play that we will be working through this week. Most of the reading/listening will be completed in class, and we will discuss and answer questions as we read. Shakespeare's language can be tough at first. I have given students multiple resources to help them navigate through this play. Please encourage them to spend time in the module each night looking back over the material we read in class. Students will have a unit test and a timed writing covering this text and the skills that we have been using in class. This test is scheduled for Monday, December 14. The timed writing will be on the following Tuesday.
