Water Cycle
Read about this amazing cycle!
There are also three ways to transfer energy!!
Radiation
A transfer of energy where something is heated by electromagnetic waves.
Convection
A transfer of energy that occurs when gasses or liquids warm and rise and then cool and fall.
Conduction
A heat transfer where the vibrating molecules touch and warm the molecules of another substance.
HYDROSPHERE, GEOSPHERE, AND ATMOSPHERE!
Hydrosphere
See all that blue stuff on the Earth? That's the hydrosphere. It is all the water on our Earth's surface. Lakes, seas, ponds, oceans, rivers, and clouds are all part of the hydrosphere. It takes up 70% of Earth's surface.
Geosphere
The geosphere is made up of all the rocks, minerals, and landforms on and in Earth.
Atmosphere
Can you see the atmosphere? No, you can't. The atmosphere is made of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 1% water vapor, and other gases like argon and carbon monoxide. It wraps around the Earth like a blanket. These gases combined block the Sun's harmful rays, so living things can survive on Earth. The atmosphere also traps some heat, causing us to not freeze at night.
