Peek at the Week
Here is what is coming up next week!
Writing-Our expository that the students have worked so hard on is in the final stages of revising and editing. We will be having our Author's Tea on Tuesday to celebrate their hard work.
Reading-The students have begun a unit on Poetry and will be reading poems and learning to look for the meaning within them.
Math-We finished our unit on fractions and beginning a unit that works on extending place value to the one billions place and comparing numbers within that range.
Science-We have finished up our unit on the patterns and change we see in the seasons, tides, weather, and moon phases and will be beginning a unit talking about changes in solids and liquids and understanding how the water cycle works. We are having a meteorologist guest speaker tomorrow!
Texas History-The students are beginning to look at the reason's for the Revolutionary War and what happened in the beginning.

Join us in the library for Science Fair Research Night on Dec. 10, 2015 (5:30-6:30) to get ideas for the science fair, look through the science fair rubrics and check out some cool science books. We will have some older science fair boards you may look at , and will post important due dates for the projects. Science team teachers will be there to answer any questions you may have.
