Superintendent's Memo - Monday, December 6, 2021

Hi Team,


Our Annual Education Results Report AERR summary and Year Two results was approved by the Board and is posted online. The learning that continues in our schools and classrooms continues at such a high level. I am extremely proud of the results and know that it takes an amazing team to achieve these results. Thank you to all staff for your efforts in achieving, supporting and improving student learning outcomes for our students.


The BTPS Audited Financial statement is on our website. This was approved by the Board of Trustees in November.


I am excited to share the bus contest posters, winners and video. Here is the Bus Poster Contest Video with the amazing work from our students. I want to congratulate all the winners who are listed below. We have many talented artists in BTPS.

The BTPS Department of Inclusive Learning - Early Learning is thrilled to offer optional “Lunch and Learn" PD Opportunities with our BTPS Student Services Team! Bruce Pugh emailed staff information on December 3. These sessions will also be recorded.


Dr. Carrington's Reconnection Challenge December calendar is below. It is there for you to use as is in order for you to challenge yourself or you are able to tweak the daily ideas to support you.


You know that is it the holiday season when Christmas songs are playing on the radio. Have you heard this one? Let's see which Christmas song is a BTPS favourite - vote here.

BTPS will host an Information Session on New Draft Curriculum

BTPS will host a short online session to review some of the highlights of the new draft curriculum. The session is geared towards our school councils and any other interested parents or staff. This session will let participants know how to provide feedback.

A Message from CUPE Local 1606 CUPE in the Community


CUPE Local 1606 Scholarship Winner, 2021

We are pleased to announce that the Scholarship Committee has chosen Kora Emily Smith of Vermilion as the 2021 Scholarship winner.

Kora graduated from J.R. Robson School in Vermilion, and is enrolled at Lakeland College in the Animal Health Technology Program at the Vermilion Campus.

Kora was awarded $1000.00.


Donations

In October, CUPE Local 1606 donated $300.00 to each of the following food banks: Provost, Vermilion, Mannville, and Hughenden.
