Please remember to turn off projectors

We are all aware of the rising energy costs and the need to be more efficient in our use of it. Because of this, I need to ask that everyone be more conscientious in their use of energy in the classroom. Please turn off your projector if you will not be using it for 15 minutes or more. This not only saves energy, but also prolongs the life of the bulb, which is a rising cost that campuses are responsible for covering. Also, if you have a new Promethean board with an attached projector, please do not use the “No Show” feature on the remote. This feature makes the bulb burn hotter and shortens the life of the bulb. You may use the “Freeze” feature instead. Please also help to spread the word to others on your campus. As the number of boards and projectors increases this is becoming more and more of an issue for our district.

If you change the batteries in your Promethean remote it will need to be reset to function properly.

To reset:

1. Hold down the 'Menu' and 'Image' buttons on the remote for approximately 30 seconds (this will tell the remote to switch frequencies). Then try operating the projector.
