NCCS Mission Statement

North Clackamas Christian School partners with Christian parents in providing our students with a biblically based education that pursues excellence in spiritual, academic, artistic, and athletic programs, training them to serve Christ daily.”

School Verse for 2021-22

Galatians 5:22-26...the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Fall Sports at NCCS

Varsity Volleyball Recognition

NCCS Varsity Volleyball recently received the OSAA Sportsmanship Award! This is a recognition program that gives OSAA sport officials the opportunity to highlight the positive sportsmanship that they see on the court.

In a recent match, our Varsity Volleyball program exhibited the great qualities that the OSAA looks for in teams, programs, and communities across the state, and a match official noticed! OSAA presented awards at the 1A district playoff game, where our team was given the Sportsmanship Award, along with the 1st place trophy, and Coach Nelson also was recognized as COACH OF THE YEAR! The next State playoff game is at NCCS on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 5 pm (entry fee $8 adults/$5 students).

Bring your lunch/snacks and a water bottle, along with work gloves, as some of the work may be a bit dirty! Students in grades 6-8 are welcome to come with a parent to help with this activity, and students in grades 9-12 may come on their own to work. Please contact Emily Clark with questions and to let her know if you are able to help with the work day. THANK YOU!!!

Special Secondary Schedule

November 8 - 12 Secondary grades will have a 7-period schedule all week, no block days. Remember, there is no school on Thursday, Nov. 11, due to the holiday.

Attendance Reminders

An email went was sent to parents addressing reminders regarding our attendance policies at NCCS. Please review this email so you’re informed moving forward, thank you! You can find the email linked as a pdf here for reference.

Junior High After School Expectations

We have adjusted our policy regarding junior high students leaving campus after school. After school hours (3pm), if a student leaves campus, NCCS no longer assumes responsibility for their whereabouts or safety. Please remind your students of safety practices if they will be leaving campus alone without adult supervision.

We will not be checking students in and out of campus or keeping track of who is here, off campus, or where they are going. Students can still use the library as a space to do school work, 3-4:30 pm. They’re now free to leave the library, walk to Winco or surrounding areas, and can return to the library or gym if they have practice or wait to be picked up.

Thank you for discussing this matter with your student so that they are aware of your expectations for them after school is dismissed at 3 pm.

Hot Lunch Menu For November

Thank you for your patience as we navigate through this new hot lunch program. Our rep has been working on a replacement for Chick-Fil-A for Mondays. In the meantime, we are glad to still be able to offer 4 days of hot lunch options to our families. November's menu is now available on the order website.

Veterans Day Recognition

There will be no school on Nov. 11, in recognition of the Veterans Day Holiday. On Wednesday, Nov. 10, we will have a schoolwide (PreK-12th grade) chapel to show our respect for the military and those who serve our country. Students should wear red, white and blue for this special day. We will not have an open chapel where parents and guests join the students and staff. We will however record and share a video of the program with our community.

Parent Prayer Group

Every Wednesday morning at 8:30 am, all parents are invited to join together in prayer. Meet in the front lobby and walk the school campus to pray over the school, its students, parents, teachers, and leaders. Contact Julianne Wunn with questions or for more information.

Saints Wear Sale

Have you seen classmates and fellow parents repping our new screen printed Saints Wear gear from earlier this fall? Are you bummed because you missed ordering before the deadline? Maybe you have some special grandparents or family members who would love some new gear for Christmas. If any of these are you then you’re in luck! We will be running another screen print NCCS Saint Wear sale in November with similar items. The goal will be that items are delivered and distributed before Christmas break for all your gift-giving needs. More information is coming soon!

Recycling Containers Fund Missions

Thank you, parents, for supporting our high school missions trips by filling and bringing the blue recycling container bags to school. We ask that you please put your bags into the large blue cart just inside the gym gate entrance rather than leaving them by the main entrance. This will keep our school looking neat and clean and keep the bags from the chance of getting stolen when left outside. Please also remember to split the containers into 2 bags if it is mostly glass, so each bag weighs under 20 lbs. Thanks again.

Europe Educational Tour March 2022

A Europe educational tour is planned for March 18-31, 2022. The enrollment deadline is Nov. 27, with full payment due for registered travelers.
