Talent Show Was So Much Fun!
We are so impressed with each of the performers' bravery and talent!
The PTA would very much like to have feedback from the performer's families.
We have created a form to try to collect your feedback.
Here is a link to the form: https://forms.gle/zkDNTWNjgQGBtU53A.
Please, let us know what you thought of the show!
Very important! -- New Liability Waiver
Have you signed and returned the new PTA Liability Waiver that went home last week?
The liability waiver you sign on Aeries will not cover upcoming PTA events. If you do not return a waiver for your child they will not be able to participate in PTA events.
You may not have seen this in the past. Our events have reached a new level of fun, including things like jumpies and obstacle courses. This waiver will allow your child to participate in these fun activities. We would never add anything that you haven’t already seen at birthday parties and local fun centers.
If you have specific concerns, please contact us: pennparentvoice@gmail.com.
Article: Kids Don't Tell You They Have Anxiety, They Say "My Stomach Hurts"!
Many children complain of abdominal pain before a sports game or a big test — when their anxiety and stress levels are at an all-time high.
Although it might not be a cause for immediate concern for some parents, others might not know that it may be a sign of anxiety. Click here to continue reading.

A few options for Summer Camps:
Fiddleheads Summer Camp by Seeds of Awareness
Fiddleheads is a fun and therapeutic environment that provides social skills instruction and emotional support to neurodiverse groups of children in our vibrant Bay Area Regional Parks.
THE KEY INGREDIENTS THAT MAKE FIDDLEHEADS SUMMER CAMP UNIQUE:
We keep our ratio small: one counselor per three children. We also cap our group size at 6 to 8 children so that each child feels seen and understood.
We develop the flow of the day and structure of activities to meet the individual needs of the children in the group.
We are careful not to over schedule the children. A harmony of excitement and relaxation is sought through a balanced flow of free play, adventure, story time, structured games, crafts, snack and circle times.
We honor the natural rhythms of the child and the day; the in- and the out-breath.
We incorporate mindfulness and movement activities into everything we do.
Scholarships are Available! Point Reyes Summer Camp
Point Reyes Summer Camp (PRSC) is an environmental education camp located inside Point Reyes National Seashore. Our summer camp provides immersive experiences to over 400 children each summer. Naturalists, Counselors, and National Park Service Partners expose youth to environmental careers and provide experiential ecology, biology, and earth science lessons.
I am reaching out to you for two reasons. First, I hope Petaluma City Schools' administrators and guidance counselors will help identify low-income students (from households earning two times the federal poverty level and below) that would benefit from attending camp on a full scholarship. Nearly 25% of our summer camp participants come from low income households, and 25% are students of color. School officials can work with parents and guardians to create an UltraCamp account and fill out the required registration forms. All we need is a letter on school letterhead stating that the referred student receives free or reduced lunch. You can find instructions on how to create an UltraCamp account by clicking HERE.
Second, I have attached our 2019 camp flier, which contains dates and grade-level eligibility for all eight camp sessions. I would appreciate it if you would post it to your schools' websites, newsletters, and/or send a copy home with students. As a non-profit, camp fees support PRNSA’s year-round educational programs. Families can read about Point Reyes Summer Camp by visiting http://www.ptreyes.org/summer-camp.
