the living together of two dissimilar organisms

3 types of Symbiosis:

Mutualism ~ a relationship between two species of organisms in which both both benefit from the association.

Commensalism ~ a type of relationship between two species of a plant, animal, fungus, etc., in which one lives, or another without damage.

Parasitism ~ a relationship between organisms in which one lives as a parasite on another.

Parasitism is a tick sucking human blood.

Mutualism is the bird cleaned alligators teeth, and the bird gets nutrients.

Commensalism is fish swimming next to sharks for protection.
