Principal's Message

Welcome back and welcome to all our new students and families!

I trust you all had a wonderful, restful summer and that you are ready to start another school year! The 2019-2020 school year like all others, will be a year filled with various enriching learning experiences and opportunities based on our Catholic Faith and Gospel values for all children. We are so pleased to welcome you to the giving and caring community of St. Finnan’s Catholic Elementary School.

We embrace for the second year, our board-wide theme: BE HOLY, JOY SPRINGS FROM A LOVING HEART. This theme provides us all with the opportunity to be inspired and transformed within our intimate relationship with Jesus. To be holy by acting holy: doing small ordinary things with love and faith. We will again this year have opportunities to learn and explore the theme of holiness.

I strongly believe that communication among all partners in education is the key to success. By working collaboratively, the home, school and the parish, we will achieve so much more. I look forward in seeing you on our “Welcome Back BBQ/Meet the Teacher” event on Thursday, September 12th starting at 4:30 pm.

Lastly, best wishes for a great school year to everyone. Like our opening song for our school year mentions: I want you to "Have It All".

Peace be with all of you.

Judith Boucher,

Principal

St. Finnan's Catholic School Council

On behalf of St. Finnan’s Catholic School Council, I would like to welcome everyone back from a wonderful summer break.

Our last meeting for the 2018-2019 school year will be held Monday, September 9th at 6:00pm. As always, we welcome and encourage all parents/guardians to attend our meetings. We value your input. We hope to see you there, should your schedule permit.

There will be sign-up sheets available at the Welcome Back BBQ on Thursday, September 12th. Please remember that you do not need to be a member of CSC in order to volunteer at the school, and that you must have a current vulnerable sector check with the school’s office.

Finally, I would like to thank each and every one of you for supporting and encouraging our fundraising efforts over the last years. Please know that your support is greatly appreciated!!!

Have a great school year!
