The Pizitz Post
For Students, Parents and Families - November 29, 2021
Student Initiatives
We are so proud of students who take initiative at Pizitz. This year, we have a group of students who have been active in wanting to support the school community through a student section during athletic events. If you have been to a home game, you have seen them in action! They have done a great job of cheering on our Pirates!
We are happy to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie. Tomorrow, our students have planned to "Snooze the Spartans." This will be spirit day where our students sport their pajamas (following our dress code of course).
We look forward to cheering on our Pirates in their upcoming games! Let's go, Pirates!
Checkout Procedures
- Students can be provided with a note from a parent or guardian addressed to their teacher to come out of class at a designated time during the day. Students would come to the office at that time after showing the teacher his/her note.
- If a student does not have a note, parents are asked to limit checkouts to the last five minutes of a class period.
- The front office will not be interrupting the class for checkouts.
- We do not allow checkouts during 8th period (from 2:36-3:00pm).
On-Campus Visitors
Remember that as a guest on our campus, you need to check in with the front office before accessing areas of the school. Our school grounds are not open to visitors for walking and/or exercising while students are present for learning. We are grateful for all of our learning spaces- including our outdoor spaces. When classes are utilizing spaces outside, we close the gate so individuals do not attempt to drive around the loop in the back. If you need to access someone in the school, park in the front of the school and come in to the front for access.
Did You Know?
Did you know that we have a lost and found for students? We have three large bins in the school collecting these items (located in the front lobby and both gyms). Prior to the holiday break, we will have these items organized and placed outside for any parent/guardian to come by and check for student items that have been missing.
At the end of the semester, any items that are left at the school will be donated to a local charity.
