The Wolf Howl

Week of October 17-21, 2016

We had a great week of learning this week, beginning with Monday's Professional Learning Day. Teachers were given opportunities to choose their own growth paths which made more highly engaged participation. We had the luxury of having great presenters and with eager learners to present to, which equated to right conditions for growth and learning to occur. Thank you for your focus and participation on that day as well as the feedback you provided on the follow-up survey. We value your thoughts and are always looking for ways to improve. Your previous survey results indicated that you wanted/ needed more technology training, blogging, and best practices and we were able to give you some of those options on Monday. We'll now look at our latest survey for feedback to design more meaningful experiences for our future learning opportunities. Why? Because lifelong learning is the Wolf Way!

Wolf Howls

Lisa S would like to give a giant wolf howl to the most amazing social studies team ever! They give 100% and work hard to help out the team for the sake of student success. She couldn't ask for a better team to work with!

Brooke yells loudly for the girls' coaches who put on a well-organized volleyball tournament this past weekend. I had so many parents and coaches from other schools come and say how organized the whole tournament was.

Brooke gives an appreciative howl to the Social Studies team for always jumping in and helping each other with lesson planning, questions, and programs. We really have the best department.

Brooke gives a grateful howl to Beverly, Jennifer S, Lyndee, Nikki, Callie, Michael, and Brendon for working hard this year to help a new student at our school and willing to try new strategies to best help them the student learn.

Kate Burkhart gives a big technology howl for Nick! Nick took the time to help my AV/Tech kids download programs and worked with helping me problem solve issues for my yearbook class.

Kate Burkhart gives a huge thankful howl for Alex and the administration team for a great staff development Monday and for setting up the workout on Tuesday.

Kate Burkhart would like to howl at Barabra Swartz for helping with the school's facebook page and always being helpful and positive.

Nikki would like to send a screaming loud howl to Alex, Brendon, Angela, and all of the presenters for a great day of learning on Monday!

Nikki would like to send a very loud howl to Nate, Rachel, Tabetha, and Brooke for helping with outside lunches during your lunch time this week to help raise money for cancer research.

Nikki would like to send a screaming howl to Nate, Rachel, Tabetha, and Brooke for all of their help last weekend with the volleyball tournament. It was a huge success with 2nd place finishes from both teams. Friday and Saturday were both very long days with little time to rest and they did it all without ever complaining.

Grimes howls out to all of our talented presenters who shared their expertise on Monday's staff development. Thanks to: Brendan, Jaime, Jennifer, Dave, Amber, Chris, Clint, and Raquel! It is amazing when we can learn from each other!

Beth and Amber send a exponential Howl to avid teachers and science teachers for supporting math. We and our students are lucky to have such great teachers.

The Pals give a thankful howl to the lady coaches for our first donation for the first responders' fundraiser basket!!!

Brooke gives a screaming howl to Bridget for making copies and hole punching all the 7th and 8th grade girls physicals.

Brooke gives a very loud howl to Linda who made copies of her class notes for a new student and got a new spiral so he would be caught up with the rest of the class.

Alex howls to the presenters that did a marvelous job presenting this past Monday -Raquel, Amber, Chris, Clint, Jaime, Jennifer, Dave, and Brendon. Thank you again for leading the Wolf Way!

Alex sends a huge howl to Angela for all the hours she's spent on making sure every single wolf had club to join. There is a lot of long hours and hard work that goes into making that happen and she's gone above and above to for the love of our little Wolves!

Alex sends a loud howl to Brendon for his superb professionalism and attention to detail while handling day to day and sometimes difficult student scenarios. Our teachers really appreciate the thought he puts into supporting them in all facets of their job.

Alex sends a gigantic howl to Lisa Grimes for her leadership in so many areas of instruction this year. She was a huge cog in the wheel of our great learning this past Monday during our staff learning day. We all admire how she's able to take a piece of an idea and turn it into a masterpiece. Thank you for all that you do both in the open and behind the scenes to ensure we all are learning and growing!

Alex sends a loving howl to our awesome counseling team Raquel, Camille, and Christine for being so responsive to our Wolves in such a delicate, supportive way.

Alex gives an ear ringing howl to Stephanie Chance for being the wealth of knowledge that she is. She handles all situations with the calmness of a lamb yet with the speed of a cheetah. She's truly a joy to work with!
