Ms. Hartman's Third Grade News

Everything you need to know about room 209 and more....

Happy first day of Spring!!! I absolutely love this time of year (well, all seasons actually...) and Asheville could not be more beautiful right now.

I hope everyone has a wonderful, safe and relaxing Spring Break and I want you all to know how blessed I am by each and every one of your kiddos. I am so thankful for the privilege of teaching them, but honestly sometimes I wonder if I learn more from them, then they do from me. They are the bees knees!!!

Every Wednesday, our favorite school counselor, Mr. Ackerman comes to room 209 for a guidance lesson. This lesson was on organization. My favorite so far!!! ;)
The weather has been so nice lately, so we took advantage of it and met our reading buddies outside!!

What we are learning:

Math: NF.1 - Understand a fraction 1/b as the quantity formed by 1 part when a whole is partitioned into b equal parts; understand a fraction a/b as the quantity formed by a parts of size 1/b.

3.E.2.2 - Compare Earth’s land features (including volcanoes, mountains, valleys, canyons, caverns, and islands) by using models, pictures, diagrams, and maps.

As always, thank you for all you do!!! It truly does take a village. If you have ANY questions, comments, or concerns please contact me.

Thank you!!!
