It's Benchmark Week! I look forward to seeing what all our students have learned so far this semester in math during our benchmark test on Monday. After this, we will being working on solving equations. We will briefly review solving one-step equations, then focus on solving two step equations. We will also explore solving equations involving the distributive property.
One key to success in solving equations is for students to show their work, and check their answer by plugging the solution back in to the original equation. Please encourage your student to do this as we work on equations.
Also, we are now taking notes in our composition notebooks. These are functioning as interactive notebooks, and will be a great resource for students to study and review material. If your child has not yet brought in their interactive notebook, please have them do so!
