Definition and Description~
Causes~
Another cause of a heart attack can be a spasm of the coronary artery. The use of illicit drugs such as cocaine can cause a life threatening spasm.
Risk Factors~
You are more likely to get this disease because of;
Age, Tobacco Use, High Blood Pressure,
Diabetes, Family History of heart attack, Lack Of Physical Activity,
Obesity, Stress, High Blood Cholesterol,
Lupus, Illegal Drug Use, and/or History Of Preeclampsia
Prevention~
- Medications- Medications can help your damaged heart function more properly to prevent a small heart attack.
- Lifestyle factors- Maintaining a healthy weight and having a heart-healthy diet is key. Not smoking and exercising regularly along with managing stress and controlling conditions that can lead to heart attack is vital.

Treatment~
If available, other things to try include; Thrombolytics ("clot buster"), Antiplatelet agents (stops clots from growing), Pain relievers (relieves pain), Nitroglycerin (vessel dilator), Beta blockers (relax your heart), ACE inhibitors (lowers blood pressure)
