APRIL NEWS ~
Dear Parents and Families,
Spring has sprung and we are enjoying cool, beautiful days!
It is time for our school to collect valuable feedback through the Parent Survey. The collection window is from April 5 to April 23. Make sure your voice is heard!

Testing season is under way! It has been a pleasure seeing our remote learners come to campus to take their Florida State Assessments.
Please find our April & May testing calendars below.
i-READY SPRING DIAGNOSTICS:
- Our 4th and 5th grade students have already completed their Spring i-Ready Diagnostics in both Reading and Mathematics.
- Starting April 19th, the testing window with re-open and our students in grades K, 1, and 2 will begin their Spring i-Ready Diagnostics in Reading and Mathematics.
- It is very important for students to their best on the Spring i-Ready Diagnostics to show their learning for the school year.
Also,
- For students in Grade 3, the Spring i-Ready Diagnostic Reading score has been used for promotion in the past years.
- The promotion score for Grade 3 students is 535 on the Spring i-Ready Reading Diagnostic.
- Parents, continue to make sure your child has a structured bedtime to get enough rest in order to do their best!
- Attendance is very important especially during testing months. Some students appreciate it when they test with their peers versus testing on a make up day.
ATTENDANCE
Help us improve our overall school ATTENDANCE RATE!
- Our overall school Attendance Rate is 90%.
- Our goal is to reach an Attendance Rate of 95%!
- Attendance is important whether you are coming to school "in person" to learn or learning remotely.
- We look forward to seeing you every day and YOU ARE MISSED when you are absent!
- However, if your child is not feeling well, please use precaution and keep your child home until they feel better!
VIRTUAL & TRANSITIONAL STUDENTS
- Students, continue to keep up with your assignments.
- Students who are not able to demonstrate subject area mastery, especially in English Language Arts and foundational skills, will be in danger of retention (or remaining in the same grade level) for the new school year starting in August 2021. Attendance will help improve students' chances for promotion.
- If you need any help, please call to speak to administration, Ms. Vernette or Mrs. Racine. We are here to help!
Stay safe and healthy!
We Wish You Well! ~
Ms. Vernette, Principal
Mrs. Racine, Assistant Principal

PBIS CELEBRATIONS ~ HALL OF FAME
Our Little Dodgers have been very busy following expectations to earn a positive office referral!!
Way to go Little Dodgers! We are proud of you!
Dodgertown Elementary ~ PBIS Model School
How does PBIS work?
PBIS is a research based program proven to promote a positive school environment and culture.
Our Little Dodgers earn B.A.S.E Bucks when following the B.A.S.E expectations from any staff member and/or Administrator. Students then decide if they would like to spend their B.A.S.E Bucks for our PBIS Monthly School-Wide drawing and/or possibly weekly classroom activities. This year because of COVID, students earn DOJO points in place of earning B.A.S.E Bucks.
PBIS BASE Expectations
Dodgertown Staff & Students will...
