Registration for 2021-22 School Year Information!!!
FAFSA and the Promise Program
- Students can qualify for various free federal and state aid to assist with paying for universities, colleges, and some trade schools(Dream Act is available for students without a social security number, that qualifies for state aid)
- Most community colleges in the state of California offer Promise Programs, these programs pay for tuition, fees, and textbooks for 1-2 years regardless of parents income. Here's a link to Moreno Valley College's Promise Program. They also have the FAFSA as part of the steps needed to participate: https://www.mvc.edu/promise/
- Completers that send email confirmation from FAFSA to Mrs. Montiel at jmontiel@mvusd.net qualify for an extra graduation ticket
- We've been doing various drawings for gift cards, we plan on doing at least one $25 gift card daily starting February 24th until the March 2nd deadline. All that is needed is that you send in the confirmation of completion to Mrs. Montiel. It must be the direct email from FAFSA that gets forwarded to Mrs. Montiel.
If you completed an application and paid out of pocket you can get reimbursed. Also, there is a fee waiver for UC's for students qualifying for free/reduced lunch.
If you are applying to UC you can get fee waiver for 4 schools by filling out the form below that goes to Mrs. Evans in the College & Career Center: https://forms.gle/GVAM2byPyhiSTxTa9
