Dear Henry Families,
It was so great to celebrate Veterans Day on Friday with all of our students and guest Veterans. I hope you take the time to view the assembly as our students did such a lovely job honoring our Veterans. You should be proud!
Our second night of conferences is this week on Tuesday evening. I know our teachers are eagerly awaiting to visit with you about your child's progress this school year. Our goal is to meet with 100% of our parents, so please make sure you have signed up for a parent teacher conference. If the two nights offered do not fit within your schedule, please reach out to your child's classroom teacher to schedule another time. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Please know due to the short following week for Thanksgiving Break we will not be sending out a Henry Happenings on 11/20/22. All information needed is included within this newsletter. Please have a lovely Thanksgiving with your family!

- If you are dropping off or picking up your child from school please stay inside your vehicle at all times. It is also imperative that your child enter and exit from the right side of the vehicle as we have two way traffic that is very close together near the building and it is unsafe for students to enter the car on the left. Please refrain from texting and using your mobile device while in the car rider line. Thank you for helping us to keep all students safe!
- Please ensure your child is arriving at school before 9:05 AM. We quickly begin our day by starting our video announcements and teachers then take attendance. It is important for your child to be part of these regular morning routines.
PTO’s Fine Dining and Dress Up Day on Thursday
On November 17th, all Henry students are invited to dress their best, buy a "Thanksgiving Dinner" in the cafeteria (or bring their own lunch) and experience a FANCY dining experience during their grade-level lunch time! The cafeteria will be transformed on this special occasion for all students to enjoy (whether they do or don't dress up)!
We are looking for parent volunteers to help with this event on 11/17- please contact Abby Smith for more information!
Book Fair is Back!
The Scholastic Book Fair returns to Henry starting November 10th during parent/ teacher conference night. Henry students will hear about the exciting new books Scholastic has to offer when they preview the book fair during their library time. Check your student's backpack for the Scholastic Book Fair Flyer or view the digital version below.
We also have opportunities to volunteer during the book fair; assisting students with their wish lists or during student shopping time. Please see the sign up link for available time slots: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A094BA4AB29A6FC1-book7
