LLC Friendly Reminders
As noted in previous newsletters, it is important to bring your child to school on time. Drop-off begins at 7:50 am and your child is busy from the moment they arrive. Please make it a goal to bring your child to school by 8:00 am.
Dismissal procedures are safest when they are consistent. Therefore, if you requested a bus for your child, they should be using this service regularly. If you need to make a change to your child's dismissal, the office must be notified no later than 12:00 pm that day. Please email your child's teacher and include the school secretary, gabriela.lorelli@msdk12.net, or call 973-292-2222 ext. 1100. Thank you!
Slow Down Please
Global School Play Day is 2-2-22
While the work of a preschooler is play, we are taking it up a notch on this day! On February 2nd, all students are welcome to bring in anything they wish to play with at school! Well...just about anything. The only restriction we ask is that toys may NOT require batteries or electricity. Please give your preschooler some ideas such as dolls, Legos, blocks, trucks, cars, racetracks, markers, puzzles, or age-appropriate board games such as Charades and Pictionary.
Don't forget to continue to extend the play at home with NO SCREENS - NO STRUCTURE - ALL DAY and NIGHT LONG!

Black History Month
If we embrace the similarities and differences that make up our American tapestry, we can build a better future together.
Fatherhood Program
The Fatherhood Program provides a supportive environment where fathers can feel safe to share their concerns and learn from each other. We want to continue to keep this event going with all of our parents’ efforts. We are proud to announce that we had such a great turnout with so many fathers attending our past two meetings. Your participation ensures the success of our event and we hope to recruit more members. Please join us on February 24, 2022, from 5:30-6:30 pm for our next meeting. This month it will be virtual and hope to get back to in-person in April: Click here for the flyer.
From the Health Office:
February is National Children's Dental Health Month. Oral health affects our ability to eat, speak, smile, and display our emotions. It also affects self-esteem, school performance, and attendance at work or school. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, cavities continue to be a common chronic childhood health problem in the United States. The good news is that dental care is preventable! Brushing and flossing daily, eating a healthy diet, and going for regular dental checkups can help avoid cavities, gum disease, and other dental issues. The following links provide tips for brushing with children and information about local dental services provided nearby at Zufall Health Center: Brushing Teeth and Dental Services
Virtual Wellness Workshop
Please join our Wellness workshop focused on helping children develop healthy eating habits. The workshop will be presented by Community Health and Nutrition Coordinator, Meghan Heck on February 15, 2022 from 5:00-6:00pm in English and from 6:00-7:00pm in Spanish : Click here for flyer. Printed flyers will be sent home in your child's backpack soon.
Check out our students having a great time with the Building Study!
