Western Primary School News

November 2023

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I can't believe it is already November! My goodness this school year seems to be going so fast. Thank you to all of you who came out to our Trunk or Treat last Friday evening. It was awesome to see all of the amazing volunteers and students all dressed up. This Saturday is our Primary Prom so we are looking forward to that!

Our annual food drive to help the Kokomo Rescue Mission is this month starting today through November 17th. The class in each grade level who donates the most cans will win a pizza party for their class. Thank you for helping others in our community!

Just a reminder as we get further into the fall season, classes will go outside as much as possible for recess so dress your child for the cooler temperatures. Students, especially those of primary ages, need that physical activity each day to enhance their development. If your child is in need of a coat, hat, or gloves, please reach out to me.

Thank you for the continued support of your child's education!

All the best,

Melissa DeWeese

WPS Principal

News from the Nurse's Office...

Please consider leaving an extra outfit of clothes in your child's backpack. We have multiple accidents a day including potty accidents, food spills, and various other messes. It would be extremely helpful if your child already has an extra outfit to change into so we don't have to call you away from work to bring clothes to school. Thanks for your help!
