The Fundamental 5: The formula for Quality Instruction
The last of The Fundamental 5 is Write Critically. Writing Critically is not as hard as it sounds! It is not a 3 page, fully published, typed, error free composition. Writing Critically can be as easy as writing a list, a paragraph, a summary or even an exit ticket. Writing Critically is not copying something, filling in the blanks or free writing. Writing Critically raises the rigor of any lesson by forcing the writer to make connections and to internalize their learning. Writing Critically should be a piece of every lesson, every subject, every day.
