Welcome back to another year!

I hope you are enjoying your summer. Please find the information below that will help you prepare for the coming school year.


First, I would like to welcome all of the incoming 6th graders to our side of the building. We will be hosting an orientation meeting, August 15th at 6:30 pm for all 6th graders and their parents. We will be touring classrooms, answering questions, and trying to help your child with the transition. Students will also register.



Registration: All returning 7th through 12th graders have preregistered for class but will NEED to do a final registration the week of August 13th-16th. Students will need to have a parent with them.


As summer ends, please consider students will need basic supplies; pencils, pens, several spiral notebooks, and 1 or 2 binders. We will have further information at registration and the first day of school. Colored pencils, markers, protractors, dry eraser markers, Kleenex, and glue sticks will be provided.

High school activities: $35.00

Middle School activities:$25.00

Art: $10.00 per semester (bulk ordering)

Band rental: $35.00 per semester

Yearbook: $30.00

Vocational Agriculture: $25.00 per sem per class (bulk ordering)

Chromebook Insurance: $30.00

Written payment plans can be established if necessary. All extracurricular participants must pay the activity fee before the first contest.


7th grade Immunization: State law requires all 7th grade to be up to date on all immunizations. It is mandatory that documentation is provided to the school. The school nurse will be available at registration, Wednesday August 15th, 6:00 to 8:00 pm to provide the vaccination.

Sports: Athletes must have a medical physical before they can participate in a practice. The first practice for teams will be as follows.

  • High School Football- August 13th
  • HS Volleyball-August 10th
  • HS Soccer-August 6th in Bliss (8:30 am)
  • Middle School (7th/8th grade) Volleyball- August 20th after school
  • Middle School (7th/8th grade) Football- August 20th after school

Keep an eye on the district website, www.shoshonesd.org, as we will be posting events and information as it comes available.

Meet Our New Teachers

Please help me welcome Mr. Wheeler and Ms. Lyga. Mr. Wheeler will teach English and publications in the high school. He graduated from Idaho State University and has roots in the Magic Valley. Ms. Lyga will be our Special education teacher. She has a background in behavior health and worked in the district last spring.
