T-TESS Domain 4: Professional Practices and Responsibilities
Dear Cougar Family,
As I have reflected on last week's staff development, specifically my own performance as a presenter, I have drawn a few conclusions:
1) I rushed through the instructions regarding the Growth Chart Activity and even didn't point out the reflection tools and options on the back of the handout. (Sorry! But from conferring with many of you, I know you figured it out in spite of my instructions.)
2) I talk with my hands. A whole lot. Thanks, SWIVL.
3) Amazing things happen when teachers have time allotted in the Learning Zone to sink their teeth into staff development that suits individual needs, not just campus needs.
4) We need to spend more time looking at Domain 4 of T-TESS--because the post-conference after the 45 minute observation is not the end of the cycle.
Domain 4 is about Professional Practices and Responsibilities, and this is where all your work toward meeting your goals fits in. (See pictures of the rubric below or link to the full rubric here.) Dimension 4.2, Goal Setting, starts with the descriptor "The teacher reflects on his/her practice." Hmm...does that sound familiar? Please make sure that you are collecting evidence showing how you are progressing in Domain 4. During the April faculty meeting, we will show you how you can upload this evidence into TalentEd for us to use during your summative evaluation. If this is not a T-TESS year for you, we will still be able to use this with our ATR summative conference.
In addition, we will have 6 Learning Zone Faculty Meeting options for the March faculty meeting. Please be sure to look over the options below and register for the session that best meets your needs. Be sure to register in Eduphoria using the links provided once you have made your choice.
Have an excellent week!
As always, COUGAR PRIDE!

Senior Hall of Fame
Dear CSHS Staff,
By now you may have heard about voting being open for this year's Hall of Fame Class of 2017. We need you to vote for up to 26 seniors for the 2017 Hall of Fame sponsored by the Education Foundation. The Senior Hall of Fame is the highest recognition a CSISD senior can receive from the district and are selected BY YOU on the basis of the following criteria: integrity, leadership, school spirit, and a positive attitude.
The deadline for voting is 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2017.
About six percent of the senior class from all three high schools will be recognized and honored at the College Station Education Foundation Hall of Fame dinner on Wednesday, April 26th.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ALL STAFF WHO HAVE ANY KNOWLEDGE OF THIS SENIOR CLASS TO VOTE - EVEN IF IT IS ONLY FOR A FEW STUDENTS.

ARD/504 Invitations--Be Sure to Click YES!
The spring is certainly a busy time of year, and we know that any time away from your classroom is hard for both you and your students; however, another important part of our jobs is to attend ARD and 504 meetings. If you are on campus the date you are asked to attend an ARD or 504 meeting, our expectation is that you accept that invitation.
If you are getting multiple invitations for the same day or are feeling overwhelmed about the scheduling, please contact the assistant principal for the your department.
Student Recognition
We'd like to recognize the success of our students on the announcements and social media. Please email Tiffany and Victoria or place an announcement in the box on Tiffany's desk. In order to be included on social media, please either send a picture of students or your organization's logo. Thanks!
