Cheetah Zoo Exhibit
CHEETAH HABITAT
Artificial Tree
This is an artificial tree that was used for the gorilla exhibit.
Tree Guards
In order to keep the tree from being destroyed by an African Rhino, they implement a type of agricultural protection.
Soft Grass
The Orangutan exhibit featured soft grass and rocks.
Shrubery
These bushes were used in the cheetah exhibit as barriers from the wooden fences. The bushes concealed electric wire.
Bamboo
This bamboo was used as a filer in between exhibits to separate them instead of having them side by side.
Tall Trees
These trees surrounded a small pond of possible drinking water for the animals
Canopy #1
This canopy can provide shade for visitors and acts as a joint for a sudden change in walkway direction.
Wooden/Metal Fencing
This was popularly used for exhibits that were at any point of elevation.
Light Metal Fencing
This fencing was used for small animals that do not have the ability to fly or destroy the given barrier.
Metal Elevation Fencing
This specific type of fencing was used to keep animals from jumping at visitors and possibly escaping.
Canopy #2
This canopy at the Cheetah exhibit provided shade for visitors along with signs that gave the visitors information about the animal.
Seclusion Fencing
This fencing was used to keep animals on one side off the exhibit. It can possibly be used for service on the exhibit or feeding.
Wooden Bridge
Many of the walkways were made of wooden bridges with easy to look over fencing for easy viewing to the animals in their exhibits.
Enclosed Exhibit
If any part of the exhibit were to be indoors, there would need to be signs that indicated an exit or entrance.
Shading
Looking areas that did not have much natural shading were given a canopy that gave the visitors a more pleasurable experience.
Visitor Window
If an animal had a large habitat it was given a window for viewers to get close to the animal but stay safe at the same time. This picture was at the tiger exhibit meaning it could be used with other large cat exhibits such as a cheetah.
Walkway Imprints
The walkway to the Cheetah could feature something similar such as cheetah paw prints.
Zoomed View
This device was used for the enhanced viewing of an animal in a large exhibit.
Interactive
Touch Screen
These small screen featured a touch screen that children and adults could use to learn about the organism within the given exhibit.
Hands On
Anybody that walked up could hold a non-venomous snake and learn while the zoo keeper informed the visitor. This could be implemented by having a baby cheetah petting session in an enclosed room that would be separated from the parents.
Signage
Wall Plaque
This wall plaque gave a description of the animals' habitat along with specifics about the organism. This could feature important information about the cheetah at the exhibit.
Ground Info Sign
This sign also gave the visitor information about the designated animal in the exhibit.
Enrichment
Climbing Area
The Cheetah was able to climb up onto an elevated platform in order to play or sit in the sun.
Zoo Example
The Fort Worth Zoo featured an area that gave a description of the necessities inside a zoo exhibit.
Water Sources
Flamingo River
There was a river that split the Flamingo exhibit in two that held ducks and provided hydration for the animals. This could be used for co habitation for small fish and cheetahs.
Giraffe Water Source
The giraffe had a stream that separated the animals from the visitors. In a Cheetah exhibit this could be implemented by having a small stream cut through the middle that acted as a river.
Animal Shelter
Cave Shelter
This small cave in the Cheetah exhibit featured a secluded place with shade from warm temperatures.
Kangaroo Enclosed
The kangaroo exhibit featured an enclosed sleeping bay that could also be implemented into a cheetah exhibit to remove the dangers of escape.
